Donk Bet
Leading into the previous street’s aggressor instead of checking to them — named unkindly for how it once looked, though modern theory endorses it on boards that favor the caller’s range. It denies the raiser a free card and a comfortable c-bet decision. As an exploit, small donk leads on middling, connected boards put raisers in genuinely awkward spots.
At the table
You defend the big blind with 7♣6♣ and the flop comes 8♦5♥4♠ — a board that nails your range, not the raiser’s. Leading one-third pot puts the hard question to them first.
