Poker Glossary

Railbird

A spectator watching from the rail — the area surrounding the table — sweating friends, following big games, or savoring the drama. Railbirds risk nothing and see everything; online, the term extends to anyone observing streams or high-stakes tables. To “sweat” someone is to railbird on their behalf.

At the table

The final-table rail goes silent as the river lands. You do not need to see the cards — the railbirds’ faces read the hand out loud.

House note

Railbirds: zero risk, full commentary. The dream, honestly.
