Poker Glossary

Squeeze

A 3-bet made after a raise and at least one call. The caller’s range is capped — with a premium they would have raised — and the opener’s range is wide, so the squeeze attacks both at once with dead money already sweetening the pot. Sizing runs bigger than a normal 3-bet: commonly around four times the open, plus an extra open-size per caller.

At the table

UTG opens 2.5bb and two players flat. From the big blind you squeeze to 13bb with A♦K♣ — three opponents, each facing a raise their range hates.

House note

When two people show weakness at once, charging both is just efficient.
