TAG

A tight-aggressive style: selective about entering pots and forceful once involved — betting and raising rather than calling. TAG is the classic winning baseline taught to every serious student, because it keeps ranges strong and initiative constant. Its weakness is predictability; its strength is that disciplined predictability still beats most tables.

At the table

Fold, fold, fold, raise K♠K♦, c-bet the flop, barrel the turn, stack a stubborn top pair. Repeat until the rent is covered.

House note

TAG is the sensible sedan of poker styles: nobody photographs it, it always gets home.
